More to come.

December 28th, 2006 by xamount

Dinah and I have had a blast launching this little site in the waning months of 2006. And while the last couple of posts have been a bit light on the design and behind-the-scenes side of things, rest assured: we’ve got plenty to talk about in ‘07.

Thanks to those of you who’ve visited, emailed, and commented so far. Stick around! We’ll be back with more in the new year. Here’s a somewhat cryptic visual preview of things to come:

Architecture, more you, and what happens in the train room.

    Hey all,

I was wondering since you all are on the dev side of things if you know anything about when Gametap is going to support Vista. Any chance of it being ready by Vista’s launch next month?

  2. xamount Says:

As of now, the official word is that Vista support is tentatively scheduled for the first quarter of 2007. Don’t have an exact date just yet…

Gametap needs a messageboad/forums! Feels awkwards having multiplayer without a place to discuss the games. I just registered yesterday but am finding it hard to believe that the service has run this far without one. I love the service so far however!

I agree, Manuel, that GameTap needs some more community-oriented features. (This blog is a great first step!) I would love to see a web badge (similar to an Xbox Live Gamercard) that I could add to my blog that lists my GameTap username and the last three games I’ve played.

All I can say is: YES! We AGREE!

And that there’s a lot of good stuff coming. Someday. Soon, I hope. (Deg, thanks for saying this blog is a good first step - we just couldn’t wait, and we thought people might like to get a glimpse behind the design scenes. And Manuel, I’m so glad you love the service! :) )

Hang with us guys, we’re continually working to get the features in to make everyone’s experience better. And in the mean time, feel free to use this blog to talk it up, ask questions, whatever!

And, if you see me or xamount online, say hi.
