Don’t let your sleeves dangle. Don’t stand up too fast.

Space is the place this week. Alpha Centauri, anyone? Laser Squad Nemesis? HOT stuff. I’d talk it up more, but dinah and I are JAMMED UP over here. Lots o’ progress in progress. We’ll try to at least get some pretty whiteboard behind-the-scenes stuff up in the next couple of days though.
Also this week: The Best of GameTap: Best of the 90s. Colon: another colon.

It’s still Thursday, right? Cause we got some new games for you to play.
And sure, Freespace 2 is in there — but don’t miss this week’s The Best of GameTap: Best of the 70s and 80s. After all, the only other time I see Kaboom! and Strider in the same ring is when I hit up my personal playlists.

This week features a lot of games where you’re not driving on pavement (and one where you are). Oh man, I just realized that Tough Trucks has a Cooter cameo? That I will HAVE to play. This (from the Cooter Davenport wikipedia entry) still cracks me up:
During the 1979-1980 [The Dukes of Hazzard] season, Ben Jones boycotted the show due to a dispute with the producers: Jones felt the character should have a beard and the producers insisted that he be clean-shaven. As a result, Jones left the show for several episodes and it was explained in the series that Cooter was out of town.
Once you’ve finished your out-of-town offroad adventures, make sure you hit this week’s facet of our month-long The Best of GameTap extravaganza: Award Winners. When you see them all laid out in a single GameTap Picks ring like that, it’s pretty impressive.
