New this week.

This week’s primary question: will you take a break from all your in-progress gaming of the last few weeks to play Hitman: Blood Money? Or will you work your way up to it?

This week’s secondary question: Can you provide me with clever ways into the “Free” link? Cause I’m running out fast

New games:

New on GameTap TV:

I may be painting myself into a corner with this. Will I ever be:

    The answer: I’m not too good at what I’ve played of the Hitman games, including this one, so I probably won’t play it at all. :P

    Best Hitman game so far. I have it on PS2 and have been on the last level for about a year. The real question: will I finish it on PS2, or start over on Gametap?

    I know this is a week late, but I’ve been having troubles with absurdly long loading times in Overlord (up to 5 minutes for a 2 minutes cutscene). I am guessing this is because of the constantly compressed nature of the game data, but either way it is extremely frustrating. My computer is certainly up to spec, I have powerful hardware and my video card can handle anything I throw at it on the highest setting.

    Would it be possible to have the option of game data being uncompressed (but still encrypted)?

    @Oldbushie

    I’m fairly certain the game data is uncompressed, that’s why Wing Commander takes up 4 gigs on my drive (acutally 4 gigs too, I’ve checked) Plus it mounts the games on those virtual drives so it’s at least uncompressed while playing.

    You could always dip into famous liberation quotes “Free At last” etc. ;)

    ^^oldbushie - we’re working on some different options for this, but for now, the best thing to do to eliminate the delays you’re seeing in Overlord (and other large, complex Windows games) is to start the game to the options menu or some other place where you’re paused and let it sit (maybe even over night, or when you’re away from your computer). As long as the game is started, the packets you’re missing will stream in and be ready for you when you play.

    Thanks dinah, I look forward to the improvements. I decided to just buy Overlord since it seems like such a great game, and it does load much faster outside of Gametap at even the highest settings.
