I thought that was a total crock until I found that book listed in the Library of Congress’s online catalog.
To be fair (and perhaps to spoil the joke), however, the book cover actually looks like a rebind (as in, whatever library/collection/bookstore that particular book was in replaced the cover when the original cover or binding got too shabby), and whoever made the rebound cover did a crappy job.
