New this week
February 21st, 2008 by mixednutWelp, xamount is out west for the Game Developers Conference, so I’m stepping in to mix it up and drop what’s new this week at GameTap. And, I gotta say, having grown up on Super Breakout, and later addicted to BreakQuest on my Mac, I’m really looking forward to Ball 7 Deluxe!

This is the first time that I love all three games released in a given week. Thanks GameTap!

I’d love to figure out what Largo Winch is about, but you guys forgot to tell us what the default key settings are, since it’s a crappy console port and the key settings aren’t described anywhere in the game itself.

Oh, wait, yes they are.

Sorry, chum, but the game configuration lists six different buttons (though it doesn’t list *keys* there), and only three are described in the game info. Most notably, what’s the key to open your PDA? The PDA is mentioned in the game info, but nowhere is the key to open it mentioned.

Well, using a wild guess since I haven’t played it yet, I’d have to say it’s either Escape or Tab. That’s where I’d put my PDA buttons.

/facepalm
Okay, hitting F1 while you’re in the game gives you a full run-down of the controls.
Of course, it’s unfortunate that Largo Winch has less voice-acting personality than Superball (horse whinnies, thunder rumbles) from Sam & Max.
